WELCOME TO THE CLINIC
Dr. Chiara Insalaco, after specializing in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Rome La Sapienza, spent two years training in the United States working alongside Dr. John Cole and learning the most innovative techniques to bring them to Italy.
Dr. Cole’s 20 years of experience offers a worldwide guarantee, both in terms of the results obtained by our patients and our reputation.
Our philosophy of hair transplantation has as its main goal the naturalness of the result.

IMMAGINI DELLA DOTT. SSA CHIARA INSALACO
Our clinics are renowned for their skill in creating natural first lines, which means a first line with grafts strictly from a hair to avoid the famous “doll effect,” in which large clumps are transplanted. This effect is also frequently seen on recently performed hair transplant surgeries.
Another goal, which is crucial for us, is the careful study of the donor area before the patient undergoes the surgery. More and more patients come to our clinics, with completely destroyed donor areas, asking for solutions to their problem. In these cases the options are really very few and the possible solutions extremely difficult.
The first visit for hair transplantation
During the first visit the patient undergoes, with the support of advanced tools, the exact calculation of Follicular Units/cm2, the number of hairs/cm2, the average number of hairs/ Follicular Unit and the diameter of the hair. This helps us to make an estimate of the follicular units and hair in the donor area to calculate the right percentage that can be taken from that particular patient. This is to avoid depletion of the donor area and the impossibility of its use in the future, should it be needed.
Added to this is the study of the Hair Mass Index, which is given by the number of hairs + their diameter. This fast and safe examination gives us the ability to predict the progression of the patient’s baldness and monitor objectively and scientifically the response to anti-fall therapies and the hair transplant itself.
The study of the donor area is of paramount importance to safeguard the same area and best plan the type of transplantation to be performed.
Finally, we give utmost attention to the recipient area by considering the following elements fundamental to the best success of the transplant:
direction,
angle and
density of the transplanted hair.
These three factors collectively determine the success of the final result.
Our clinics are located in Italy and the United States, including Atlanta, Miami and Rome.

BRIEF INFO.
Dr. Chiara Insalaco’s great passion for hair transplantation was born during her residency in Plastic Surgery, having participated in the most important and innovative international congresses and workshops around the world.

BIOGRAPHY
Because of his desire to stay on the cutting edge of hair transplantation, he visited the world’s leading hair transplant surgery clinics:
Dr. Cole in Atlanta, Dr. Wolf in Cincinnati , Dr. Devroye in Belgium, Dr. Koray in Turkey, Dr. Gambino in Italy, Dr. Tesauro in Italy, Dr. Bisanga in Belgium, Dr. Mwamba in Belgium, etc.
These visits gave her the opportunity to learn the most innovative and evolving techniques developed for over 10 years.
Since 2015, Dr. Insalaco has been collaborating with the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, together with Dr. John P. Cole (USA), to develop a pioneering research project in the field of regenerative medicine (PRP, STEM CELLS) and its application in the treatment of alopecia. Unique results are about to be released.
Dr. Chiara Insalaco has had the opportunity to learn a great deal through her teachings during her visits to the United States.
In her clinics in Atlanta, she acquired the technique developed by Dr. Cole, the so-called CIT® (Cole Isolation Technique). This method of follicular unit extraction is based on a minimally invasive technique because it requires minimal depth of extraction.
Through this FUE method, the stem cells from the follicular units remain in the donor and can be regenerated through extracellular matrices such as Acell®.
Dr. Chiara Insalaco plays an active role in the S.I.TRI (ITALIAN SOCIETY OF TRICOLOGY). She is one of the few experts in Italy to be part of the “Public Register of Trichologist Doctors,” which lists doctors who meet the requirements for the protection of patients with scalp disorders.
